The 18th of September

Today for my blog, i would like to write about the "18" and the meaning that surrounds it. As almost every person who has been in chile in september has appreciate that there is a big nationalist movement arownd these dates. A smell of beef, the sound of cueca and the taste of terremoto and mote con huesillo are in every corner. TV shows, comercials, billboards are soked by the "18" ambience, that start apearing the lasts days of august. More than a day to remember the fisrt "junta de gobierno", people and the media are turning it to a way of life, it is like if you do not celebrate this date as the others by going to fondas and drinking and eating excessively, you are not representing your country, you are not that much of a chilean. Eventho I like the 18th of september because it is a time of the year when I meet with all my familly and it is a tradition for us, i think that the way that it is celebrated by most is harmfull. I am not saying that I have the right way to celebrate, but for me, it is the same thing that happens when the national selection of football plays, the entire country stops and this fealing of "being chilean" raise up like an gayser, it is the same fealing that people are having to refuse imigrants. People think that for drinking more wine, for dancing more cueca, for puting the flag, for singing the national anthem, they are more "chilean". And my question for all this people is, what is to be a chilean really?

Yosemite national park

Hello, today for my blog i would like to write about a national park that i have visited. This is Yosemite national park. I went there in december 2017 with my familly, my two parents and my sister. It was winter when i came so all the park was fulled with snow and the lakes were frosen. This park is located in the US, and the nearest city there is Fresno in california. It was actually very fun and impresive to see the big mountains and the wild animals there. When we were there, there were no much activities to do because it was snowing, so we just visit the park on the car drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies, but it was an amazing expirience i definitely would like to come back and see the park on summer of fall to percive the space from a different perspective and not suffering with the cold weather. In summer there are much activities to do, like climbing, doing rafting, canopy and much more. This park in nown for it's nice climbing routs, captain, one of the main atractions, is a mountain that has been climb by many but failed. This was one of my favorites places that i have visit. the

My dream job

Today for my blog i would like to talk about my dream job. This would be to become a luthier, it consist of the making of instruments. Particulary i would like to build string instruments as guitars, ukeleles and things like that. In my expirience lately i have been to a luthiers house and i had the oportunitie to make my own ukelele, i loved that expirience and i would like to continiue doing it. The main thing that i love about this job is the power to transform a peace of wood, by the way i love wood it's the texture and smell, to a instrument that has a sound and a shape. The transformation that a person can make to a peace of nature is something that moves me. Not many people share the tecniques of lutherism and eventho there is lots of information on books and on the web, learning from a person who is in contact with the work is very different and much more enriching. One of the thing that i would like to do to enter to this worls is travel to places were the lutherism was born and learn the ancient tecniques and tools that had been used for ages. Eventho this work is very chalenging, and more than a job is a way of life, i woul like to become part of it of at least to have a part of it in my life.

Jorge González

Today, for my blog i would like to write about, in my opinión, the gratest Chilean of all time. This is Jorge González. This chilean musician from san miguel, made a before and after in the chilean and latinoamerican music. He made a point about the social and political context in chile, not only by making a critic about the regime that was imposed, but also going agains the people who were fighting against the regim, letting people having a new visión of the situation. He also included new sounds to his music, making a vanguardist genre that is a referent for actuall. He never was intimidated by anithing so people took him as a falg of fight, letting them to have a voice and rasing against injustice and opression. He leaderd a band called "los prisioneros" composed by him, narea and tapia. One aspect that made the difference between every other band is that they were por guys, from the suburbs of Santiago that maneged to have the attention of the entire country and even the ones that had the power at the time. Their were showing the anger and discoumfort of people by doing a peacefull fight, singing. Eventhow they were singing about political topics, they had to be very carefull because of the political persecution so the consept of the band was going further. They began to write about problems that they had and injustices about society more than political lirycs. One of the impressive thing about this band and mostly about Jorge gonzález is that they still are lisened to and enjoyed by the younger generations.

My bucketlist

Today I would like to write about one of the targets that i have on my bucketlist. One of my dreams, and that i really would like to do before i die is to travel to asia and try the Street food and know the culture. This has been a dream since i was fourteen years old. One of the main things that atract me about the idea of going there is to understand and live with a different cosmovition. In particular, Japan drags my attention cause of the ancient tecniques of construction. There are a lot of Wood experimentation and the unions that are made are perfect. The work that they realize is refference of the modern Wood work and the making of fourniture, boxes, ect. The tecniques are known for their cleaness and perfection, having tools for every single detail of the work. Also, the tools are so specific and well made that their are used worlwide. Another thing that i would like to try there is the food. I love spicy food and seafood and those countries are full of those Delicious delicacies so i could expand my culinary knowledge. This travel could change my perspective and make me a better human being and even a better designer. It would open my mind and make me see thing differently.
